Schedule A

Rates and Duties Levied on Vessels at the Port and Harbour of Perth.

All vessels to or from all destinations outwith the precincts of the River Tay; £0.34
All vessels employed in the River Tay carrying goods and entering the precincts of the Port of Perth; £0.28
All vessels employed in the River Tay only and carrying passengers and their luggage exclusively; £0.31


  1. It shall be in the option of the Council to charge the above dues on the voyage inwards or outwards at the rates specified.
  2. All vessels not carrying passengers and arriving at the Harbour in ballast and departing again in ballast shall be liable only for half the above stated dues.

Port Information

Maximum length of vessels accepted 90 metres – acceptance at sole discretion of Harbour Master.

Ample cranes with safe working loads of up to 40 tonnes are available together with mobile handling equipment suitable for all types of cargoes. Fresh water is available at all berths – stores and fuel can be arranged by the agents. Floodlights are available for night work.

Perth harbour is very convenient for the motorway network to all parts of Scotland and the north of England and is well served by direct rail services and by air services (Dundee Airport – 22 miles).

The Port is owned by Perth and Kinross Council and is operated by Calmac Ferries Limited (a divison of the David MacBrayne Group). Perth and Kinross Council are the navigation authority for the River Tay between the Harbour and Balmerino. The Harbour Master arranges for pilots to and from Dundee and provides VHF coverage (working channel is 09).

  1. All other commodities, goods and articles not specified above shall be chargeable in proportion to other goods of similar bulk and value.
  2. The weight (tonne) attributed above is 1,000kgs, or in cases where weight cannot be established, of 1.133m3 (40cu ft).

Schedule C

Sundry Charges Levied on Vessels in Respect of Services Provided at the Port and Harbour of Perth.

4 Harbour charge on the delivery of gas, oil, diesel or any other type of fuel for the propulsion of the vessel; £0.60 per cubic metre
5 Charge for berthing of any vessel on the Harbour remaining beyond a period of 24 hours after completing discharge (Harbour Master's discretion); £1.00 per gross tonne per week or part thereof
6 Charge for berthing of vessels laid up within the Harbour precincts (Harbour Master's discretion); £1.00 per gross tonne per week or part thereof
