Bathymetric Surveys

Perth and Kinross Council (PKC), as SHA, shall ensure all available data relating to marine navigation is made available for users. PKC shall undertake best endeavours to ensure data published is maintained and kept up to date. For more information please contact the harbour office via harbour@pkc.gov.uk.

The following bathymetric surveys are provided to support safe navigation of the River Tay, and are provided in good faith by Perth Harbour. PKC, and/or their operator, can not accept any liability for errors or omissions.

The current bathymetric survey programme for Perth Harbour includes the following; a 5 yearly survey programme of key transit areas identifed through formal risk assessment and stakeholder engagement, and additional risk based surveys.

The current risk based surveys include the harbour entrance which is surveyed every six months.
